How does someone become an Ë¿¹ÏÊÓƵ officer?Ìý
- Each June, Ë¿¹ÏÊÓƵ issues a call for potential officer candidates. Typically, positions for two Vice Presidents and one President-Elect are open.
- Any member may suggest a Full Member to serve in the open positions, and members may nominate themselves or others.
- Once the call closes, Ë¿¹ÏÊÓƵ contacts all suggested candidates to confirm their interest. Interested individuals are invited to submit materials outlining their qualifications and interest, which are then reviewed by the Nominating Committee.
- The Nominating Committee, composed of Trustees, Chapter Presidents, and Fellows, and Presidents meets prior to the annual conference to develop a slate of two candidates for each office.
- In its deliberations, the Nominating Committee upholds the Society's commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion, ensuring opportunities for all. Additionally, the committee strives to achieve a balanced representation of private practitioners, educators, and public employees to reflect the diverse needs and composition of Ë¿¹ÏÊÓƵ’s membership.
