Ë¿¹ÏÊÓÆµ Climate and Biodiversity Action Network Regions / Ë¿¹ÏÊÓÆµ
The Ë¿¹ÏÊÓÆµ Climate and Biodiversity Action Network (CBAN) enables regional collaboration on Ë¿¹ÏÊÓÆµ Climate and Biodiversity Action goals and builds the capacity of Ë¿¹ÏÊÓÆµ Chapter Climate and Biodiversity Action Committees.
The Ë¿¹ÏÊÓÆµ Climate and Biodiversity Action Network is comprised of:
- Chapter Climate and Biodiversity Action Committee Chairs
- Chapter Climate and Biodiversity Action Representatives (for Chapters with no committees)
- Canadian Society of Landscape Architects (CSLA) Provincial and Regional Components
The mission of the CBAN is to:
- Share strategies for more effective climate and biodiversity action at the chapter and regional levels
- Increase collaboration among chapters on regional action
- Advance collaboration between practitioners and academics at the chapter and regional levels on action research
How Chapter Chairs and Representatives can collaborate in the network:
- Communications - Sharing and co-developing new resources, talking points, and language landscape architects can use to promote landscape architects¡¯ role in climate and biodiversity, so we will be called upon to be a part of all aspects of climate and biodiversity action work.
- Advocacy - Sharing and co-developing strategies on how to influence local and state climate and biodiversity policies and regulations
- Practice - Sharing planned or built work and tools that address climate and biodiversity issues specific to your region that others can learn fro
- Research - Sharing action research by academics, firms, or other organizations that can inform practice and advance innovative tools and techniques
- Finance - Sharing public and private funding opportunities for climate and biodiversity projects
