2014
 | Friends of the High Line will receive the Landscape Architecture Medal of Excellence. The award recognizes significant contributions to landscape architecture policy, research, education, project planning and design, or a combination of these items. Founded in 1999, Friends of the High Line worked relentlessly to save New York City¡¯s elevated railbed, the High Line, from demolition and then created the renowned park that has sparked development on New York City¡¯s West Side. ?Friends of the High Line works closely with the New York City Department of Parks and Recreation to make sure the park is maintained as a great public space for all to enjoy.? |
